Dear Barnstormers and Friends
As many of you will have heard Celia Holt died on the 5th November. She had been in hospital for 5 weeks, was diagnosed with lung cancer and then contracted pneumonia and died 5 days later. We are all still in deep shock, but are now beginning to make plans for the future. To our absolute joy and gratitude Gordon (Celia’s husband) wants us to continue Barnstorm in his home. And he is sure Celia would want us to carry on. We are not sure how we will manage without Celia at the helm, but she has taught us well and we shall try our best to run things with Celia’s efficiency, skill and inventiveness. Subject to the availability of the Hall and Scout field Gordon would like the week to run from the 1st – 9th August. This is a week later than previously stated and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but compared to no more Barnstorm ever, we feel this is a reasonable compromise. As soon as this date is confirmed, we will send out an email.
