Barnstorm Principles!
We built Barnstorm.org.uk to make it easier for people to keep in touch with other Barnstormers aswell as sharing memories, photos, songs and videos.
We followed 3 main principles
1. You should have control over your personal information.
We tried to make sure that you choose what information went on your profile, including date of birth, email, address and phone number.
2. You should have access to the information others want to share.
Others may want to share details about themselves with you. Therefore you should be able to see all the infomation that other users wish you to see.
3. You should be confident that ONLY the people who you whish to see your infomation, see it.
All your infomation is kept in a secure password protected database. Certain infomation such as your password is encrypted, meaning that not even the webhost or admins can see you password.
The Information We Collect
We only collect infomation you knowlingly give us when you interact with the website.
When you register for an account we collect details such as you name, email, address, gender and phone number and any other personal information that you provide to us.
Before you log into the website or if you do not have an account, we collect your IP address, this is so we know how many guests are viewing the site and who they are. This information is automatically deleted after 5 minuets.
When you log into Barnstorm.org.uk we collect the time you logged in. This is kept for securty resons so we can log you out after 10 minuets of inactivity. We also save a cookie to your computer wich holds infomation about who you are logged in as.
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user (we do not save your password in this cookie). We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. If you have disbled cookies in your browser you will not be able to log in.
We must stress that all infomation you provide WILL NOT be sold or donated to any third party members.
